CSM Counseling Services During Remote Operations
While the College is in remote operations mode, Counseling Services will offer the following services:
- Individual counseling is open toallstudents, both preexisting and new clients, via a telehealth model using Zoom. Please reach outby e-mailto thecounselordesignated for your campusto start this alternative service(see below.)
- Students can continue to reach out anonymously for support using the R U OK, Hawks? program.
- Students who decide to usemental health providers in the communityshould know that, due to COVID-19 and the need to create some social distancing, most major insurances in the state of Maryland are allowing therapists to conduct video telehealth sessions. If you currently are receiving state or private health insurance, this option could be available to you, often at no charge or a very small co-pay. Calling the number on the back of your insurance card to locate a provider and accessing the therapist directory on Psychologytoday.com are good places to start.
- In partnership with Student Life, CSM Counseling will be holding a virtual mental health conversation to support students through this challenging time as part of the Talon Talk initiative. These sessions will happen each Thursday from 2-3 p.m. on Zoom. For more information, contact Student Life or one of the counselors.
- Students who need assistanceand would like to schedule an appointment through CSM Counseling, require helpconnecting with external resources, or who have other questions should contact the CSM counselor assigned to their respective campus:

- Leonardtown Campus: Jennifer Fossell, LCSW-C,jefossell@csmd.edu
- Prince Frederick Campus: Natasha Miller, LCPC,nvmiller@csmd.edu
